Frequently Asked Questions
What is a GFT?
A phygital NFT linked one-to-one to a physical product, proving authenticity and recording ownership on-chain. See What is a GFT.
How do I know a product is genuine?
Each product comes with an NFC card and a scannable TwinCode. Scanning the code or tapping the card with the TwinMeta app opens the product's GFT page, where you can confirm it's genuine. See TwinCode & the App.
How do I prove that I own an item?
Ownership authentication requires three things together: the TwinMeta app, tapping the item's physical NFC card, and a wallet signature. All three are required. See Ownership & Authentication.
Can I authenticate ownership on a desktop or without the app?
No. Because tapping the physical NFC card is required, authentication only works on a phone, in the TwinMeta app, with the card in hand. On other devices you can still look up and view an item, but not authenticate ownership.
Do I need the NFC card, or is the chip in the t-shirt?
The NFC is a separate card that comes with the product — the t-shirt itself has no embedded chip. The same card is used for authentication and for cheering creators with CP.
What is CP?
Creative Power — a fixed score on each NFC card. Tapping the card sends its CP to the product's creator as support, and you earn TwinPoint for it. See Cheering & CP.
What is a TwinKer?
A creator who plans a product project and creates its GFT design directly with AI, then brings it into the ecosystem. See What is a TwinKer.
If I buy a product, do I own the artwork's copyright?
No. You own the physical item and its GFT, with a limited right to use and display the artwork. The copyright in the design stays with the creator who made it. See Buying & Ownership.
How do levels work?
Your account has a single level. Moving up requires both reaching a point threshold and having enough invited friends who became active (took part in an Early Bird or bought a product). A higher level boosts all your future point earning. See TwinPoint & Rewards.
What is the egg I see during Early Bird?
Each Early Bird round has a shared egg. After joining, you can optionally leave a cheer message; every cheer cracks the egg further, and when the round's final cheer lands it hatches into a character, with a shared reward for everyone who cheered. See Buying & Ownership.
What is the difference between TwinPoint and TwinCoin?
TwinPoint is an activity-based rewards program you earn through participation. TwinCoin is the ecosystem token. TwinPoint is designed to connect into the token economy over time.
Is TwinCoin an investment?
No. The Tokenomics section describes token utility and mechanics only. Nothing in this documentation is investment advice or an offer to buy or sell any asset.
